Jersey Events 2011 - Jersey Jazz Festival

We are looking forward to some great events in Jersey this year and thought it would be great to run a series of blog posts, summarising some of these events. Today we start with the Jersey Jazz Festival - Friday 01 April to Sunday 03 April 2011.

A true favourite on the island, the festival consists of six truly amazing bands, two amazing French groups The Gibson Brothers, Melody Players, three brilliant musicians Tom with , Quartet, Weir and Jerseys very own greatly talented Brian White. The festival takes place in four wonderful venues: The Mayfair Hotel, The Post Horn, Cock & Bottle and Dix and the thrilling experiences lasts for over seventeen hours over the three days. Tickets are now available to buy from The Mayfair Hotel and range from £10 to £40, a single Evening Pass is £10 per person, Sunday Live Jazz Brunch is £15 and the Full Jazz Package including Brunch and all other events is only £40. Every evening starts off with a spectacular show at The Mayfair Hotel, then the fun carries on down into the town with an uplifting pub crawl to the remaining venues where the amazing music and brilliant atmosphere will continue into the night. Sunday brunch will also take place in The Mayfair Hotel with the relaxing Jazz music being performed as you enjoy the beautiful food, giving you an unmissable experience. The music planned to start from 1:00pm till 12:00 midnight on Friday and Saturday and then 12:30 till 12:00 midnight on Sunday. All these qualities make The Jersey Jazz festival a unique and a must attend event if you are lucky enough to be on the island at the time it takes place, it is a very special event in any Jazz musicians calendar and is fun for all the ages especially those who enjoy the beauty of jazz music.
